Overview
Advanced Procurement Engineering Specialist driving sourcing strategies into New Product Development early in the design phase. Owns long-lead-time analysis, identifies sourcing options, performs risk-buys, and coordinates implementation across teams.
What you'll do
- Perform long-lead-time (LLT) analysis of the Bill-of-Material (BOM) during the design phase.
- Identify and manage single-source and sole-source components in the developing BOM.
- Create and maintain approved component and vendor lists with Category Managers and Product Engineering.
- Perform risk-buy analysis to avoid delays in product launch.
- Identify second source components for components in the BOM.
- Develop and drive sourcing strategies for new product developments with Category Managers.
- Support design-to-cost by selecting economical components via techno-commercial benchmarking.
- Coordinate approvals for on-time documentation and release of components to ensure on-time release of POs.
- Participate in weekly PET meetings to update procurement & supply-chain actions and coordinate cross-functional support.
- Create and drive cost-reduction opportunities for products in mass production.
What you'll need
- Experience performing LLT analysis of BOMs during new product development design phases.

- Experience performing risk-buy analysis for product launch delay avoidance.
- Experience coordinating on-time release of documentation and component releases for PO timing.
