Procurement Specialist - Research & Development (Clinical Laboratories)

Overview

Procurement Specialist for Clinical Laboratories within Roche India’s Indirect Procurement Delivery group, focused on procurement sourcing and delivery for R&D categories.

What you'll do

• Conduct market and internal analysis to develop strategies and tactical plans for sourcing and negotiation.
• Deliver and execute sourcing strategies using spend, category know-how, sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier management, and project management.
• Develop procurement content and automation to translate sourcing outcomes into automated buying channels.
• Collaborate with internal procurement and business stakeholders to translate business needs into sourcing/spend activities and content enhancement.
• Support customer demand and day-to-day operational activities and help deliver productivity and customer-oriented projects.

What you'll need

• 5+ years procurement experience in strategic sourcing, category strategy building, and strategic project execution.
• University degree, preferably in a scientific discipline such as Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
• Experience in procurement systems and processes.
• Knowledge of the Clinical Laboratories commodity area including examples like Genomics and Genetics, Bioanalytics, Soluble Biomarkers, Flow Cytometry, Histopathology, and Central laboratories.
• Deep knowledge in supplier management, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and market research/analysis in R&D categories.
• Business-level fluency in English.
