Procurement Specialist I

Overview

Procurement Specialist I responsible for executing purchases of assets and accessories for global locations while supporting cost reduction, timely delivery, lower inventory, and lead-time reduction.

What you'll do

• Prepare purchase requisitions with approvals/escalations and issue purchase orders per policy and negotiated terms.
• Audit ERP data integrity including min/max levels, PO, cost, order quantity, and lead times.
• Process orders and coordinate delivery/shipment to meet schedules and avoid overstock.
• Liaise with internal business partners and global stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and met.
• Recommend continuous improvements to process, systems, reporting, and order accuracy/efficiency.
• Monitor and evaluate vendor performance and participate in supply-chain improvement activities.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) or equivalent education/experience combination.
• 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training.
• Experience working with MRP systems and office/document software.
• Deep understanding of spreadsheet/reporting functions including pivot tables and vlookup/trim/concatenate.
• Ability to perform database queries on multiple platforms.
• Experience with process improvement and cost savings in corporate purchasing.
• Ability to communicate with cross-functional global teams via presentations and documentation.
