Overview
Advisor, Systems Engineering focused on enterprise backup administration and backup engineering across multiple backup platforms.
What you'll do
- Administer and support enterprise backup and recovery platforms including Rubrik, Dell EMC Data Domain, Avamar, Dell EMC NetWorker, and Infinidat InfiniBox (IBOX).
- Monitor and manage backup environments to ensure successful backup, restore, and replication operations.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and manage backup-related problems.
- Lead upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management for backup platforms.
- Conduct restore testing and recovery validation, including disaster recovery testing and business continuity initiatives.
- Develop automation for reporting, health checks, provisioning, and operational tasks using Ansible, PowerShell/Shell, and related tooling.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise backup environments.
- Strong expertise with Rubrik, Dell EMC Data Domain, Avamar, NetWorker, and Infinidat InfiniBox.
- Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical backup infrastructures.
- Understanding of backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Experience with enterprise storage and backup capacity management.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
