Agentic AI software engineer

Overview

Agentic AI software engineer working on an agentic platform for a conversational interface powered by frontier or open-weight LLMs.

What you'll do

• Build the agentic harness for Routing Director’s conversational interface.
• Develop the agentic platform using AI agents, MCP servers/tools, and semantic retrieval.
• Deliver reliable, performant solutions while following safety and security standards.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to implement agentic workflows for use cases.
• Contribute to design review sections and gather feedback from the team leader.
• Partner with Product and QA to align feature delivery with release milestones.

What you'll need

• Experience building agentic systems including memory, tool execution, monitoring, and workflow automation.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience designing scalable platform APIs and integrations for safe and efficient operations.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs and orchestrating agentic workflows.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices including automated testing and code reviews.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.

• Hybrid role with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
