Analyst - Deposit & Payment Operations

Overview

Operations analyst role in the Check and Exception Processing Services team, handling complex, often multi-product financial transactions for FCB clients.

What you'll do

• Process high volumes of financial transaction research cases, including various types of check processing errors, in response to branch requests, other financial institution escalations and reports, applying appropriate rules, regulations and procedures for consistency and accuracy.
• Research and investigate administrative requests received from partners via different systems, emails and SharePoint in a timely manner, providing value-added solutions to client issues.
• Prioritize work to meet service level agreements for various lines of business.
• Identify and escalate in a timely manner complex issues or situations that require further analysis or investigation to determine the nature of the problem and identify a feasible solution for the client.
• Identify and participate in implementing efficiencies to existing processes.
• Assist management in department initiatives or ongoing projects to resolve issues for continuous improvement.
• Comply with all FCB regulatory training and ensure programs and policies are applied consistently across the business.
• Understand and adhere to bank policies, procedures, legal and compliance requirements, and assist the Manager in ensuring adequate operations controls, risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance to more junior staff as required and work with colleagues and management to improve client service quality.

What you'll need

• Degree or master's degree in Banking and Finance.
• 3-6 years of check and lockbox processing experience.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Capability to make sound, time-sensitive decisions in high-volume and high-risk scenarios.
• Ability to work independently while also working as a team.
• Data analysis and reporting skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially formulas and macros in Excel.
• Knowledge of check processing, including check positive pay and lockbox.

Nice to have

• Experience with banking cash management, treasury and deposits.
• US banking experience.

• US shift timings support (20:30-5:30 hrs).
• Reports to: Senior Manager, Banking Operations.
