Analyst, FP&A

Overview

As an OPEX FP&A Analyst within the Global OPEX COE, you will support forecasting, reporting and analysis of costs, contribute to financial planning processes, and provide insights to business partners and senior FP&A stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Support the month-end close process from an FP&A perspective through variance analysis focused on streaming OPEX P&L.
• Review actual spend with finance business partners and budget holders.
• Summarize key findings to support discussions and decision-making with the business.
• Assist with the monthly cost forecast submission and update related systems.
• Support the annual budget process, including designing templates and critically reviewing planning assumptions.
• Support the financial review of key initiatives focused on driving business performance, including creating and analyzing business cases.
• Develop actionable insights to improve business unit and regional profitability.
• Provide insight into financial performance through accurate, timely and relevant reporting.
• Interpret and clearly communicate results, reports and analysis.
• Continuously review and improve management information.
• Raise queries to FP&A colleagues based on analysis and insights into management information.
• Perform ad hoc tasks and reporting related to cost management and governance meetings as appropriate.
• Maintain and improve processes supporting financial planning and analysis activities.

What you'll need

• 2-5 years of working experience, preferably with experience in an FP&A department.
• Solid understanding of forecasting and budgeting processes.
• General accounting knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong MS Excel skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot, and strong PowerPoint skills.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Pro-active and hands-on.
• Strong IT affinity to drive the required digital agenda in FP&A, including EPM tools such as Hyperion and SAP BPC/SAC, and BI tools such as Power BI.

Nice to have

• CIMA/ACCA qualified or education in progress.
• Being an assured self-starter on relevant projects and work.
