Anatomic Pathology Manager

Overview

Line management role leading the Anatomic Pathology Team within VPG Reference Laboratories, responsible for delivering a market-leading pathology service to all VPG/Zoetis clients.

What you'll do

• Develop the anatomic pathology service.
• Oversee anatomic pathology quality assurance.
• Carry out business development and marketing activities aimed at improving and growing the service.
• Work closely with the other Team Leads and the Pathology Co-ordinator to ensure a timely, high-quality service.
• Work collaboratively with Laboratory Managers to deliver an excellent, coherent laboratory service from sample reception through to pathology reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve the pathology service through productivity, quality, recruitment and staff performance.

What you'll need

• Relevant qualification with the Royal College of Pathologists, European College of Pathologists or American College of Pathologists.
• MRCVS registration.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with pathology LIMS systems.
• Computer acumen.

Nice to have

• Previous management experience.
• Previous demonstration of positive customer interactions, team-building, talent development, change management and collaboration.

Details

• Remote-based role, with opportunity to visit the Bristol Histology Laboratory facility on a regular basis.
• Full-time.
