Overview
Android Framework Engineer responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications for user/business needs.
What you'll do
- Oversee software application development projects and a team of junior developers.
- Allocate resources and plan programming to ensure applications function properly.
- Provide technical support for application development and implementation for complex high-performance computing systems.
- Define and document product requirements, user stories, and epics and work with the agile team on the product backlog.
- Lead multiple project teams across design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration for complex products/platforms.
- Review designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and provide feedback to improve quality.
- Provide domain expertise and leadership for cross-organization projects and programs.
What you'll need
- Typically 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in applications engineering/programming or related.
- Four-year/graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related, or commensurate work experience.
- Strong analytical and programming skills in C/C++/Java/Kotlin.
- Deep understanding of Android architecture and Android framework (MM framework mentioned).
- Exposure to SCM tools (git/Gerrit, Perforce, Clearcase mentioned) and developer tools (Android Studio, Visual Studio mentioned).
- Exposure to Android System UI components and Android FWK layer (e.g., System & Native services, Window Manager, Package Manager, Power manager).
- Experience with HAL/JNI layers and native IPC (AIDL) plus strong debugging skills.
