Android Multi-Device Experience Engineer

Overview

This role drives the design of software systems running on multiple platform types, covering test plans, debugging, testing scripts and tools, and system architecture aligned with business objectives.

What you'll do

• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Design limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
• Analyze design and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
• Execute and write portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for the assigned portion of the application; identify and debug issues with code and suggest changes or improvements.
• Participate in concept design discussions, gather system level requirements, clarify interfaces, and provide feedback into future design requirements to help develop robust and high-performance solutions.
• Improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
• Provide support services such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
• Participate as a member of a project team with other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for the assigned systems portion or subsystem.
• Collaborate and communicate with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Develop conclusions, recommendations, and written reports, contributing through research and data analysis support, and share knowledge to foster a knowledge management culture.

What you'll need

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field, or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.

• Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE)
• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
