AO/Data Scientist/Quantitative Researcher

AO/Data Scientist/Quantitative Researcher focused on quantitative asset allocation research, client portfolio analytics, and data-driven model and reporting work.

What you'll do

• Conduct asset allocation and manager evaluation research.
• Perform bespoke client portfolio analysis and help create bespoke portfolios.
• Undertake bespoke data analysis requests.
• Build dashboards for data visualization using Python Dash.
• Handle data collation, cleansing, and analysis using SQL and Python.
• Create new databases and set up infrastructure for their maintenance.
• Clean and manipulate data, build models, and produce automated reports using Python.
• Apply statistical modelling and machine learning to quantitative problems.
• Conduct and deliver quantitative research projects for fundamental strategies.
• Leverage AI tools to support the above tasks.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience with RDBMS database design, preferably on MS SQL Server.
• 2+ years of Python development experience.
• Advanced programming skills using Python libraries including pandas, numpy, statsmodels, dash, pypfopt, cvxpy, keras, and scikit-learn.
• 2+ years of familiarity with pandas/numpy/statsmodels.
• Ability to manipulate large quantities of data.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Working experience building quantitative models.

Nice to have

• Experience with factor research, portfolio construction, and systematic models.
• Academic qualification in Mathematics/Physics/Statistics/Econometrics/Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of company financial statements, accounting, and risk analysis.
• Familiarity/experience leveraging AI in the data handling, research, and modelling process.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to interact with global clients.
