Data Scientist (Banking) - AVP

Overview

Design, develop, implement, and maintain statistical, mathematical, and machine learning models to support decision-making in banking.

What you'll do

• Acquire and collect data from internal databases, external datasets, and real-time feeds.
• Perform data cleaning and pre-processing to ensure data quality for model development.
• Design and implement data management strategies for model maintenance and future development.
• Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models for credit risk, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and marketing optimization.
• Monitor model performance in real-time and identify issues or biases.
• Lead training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing sessions to uplift ML capability.

What you'll need

• Experience solving problems logically and/or creatively with professional judgment and quality control.
• Analytical tools experience for data exploration, analysis, and visualization, including coding and SQL, Scala/Spark/Python.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data and databases.
• Some experience developing data visualizations/dashboards.
• Understanding of data management and model validation principles and controls.
• Relevant qualifications in data analytics and a technical field.
