API Developer

Overview

SFCC API Developer to design, develop, and maintain API-driven solutions for a Headless Commerce platform on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain API-driven solutions for SFCC.
• Build and enhance integrations using SCAPI, OCAPI, REST APIs, and web services.
• Collaborate on Backend for Frontend (BFF) services for headless storefront experiences.
• Create reusable APIs/services for commerce, customer, product, pricing, inventory, and checkout.
• Troubleshoot and resolve API, integration, and application issues in dev and production.
• Support release activities, deployment validation, and post-release monitoring.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and API specifications.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of API development and integration engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) development experience.
• Strong SCAPI and OCAPI development experience.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of API security including OAuth, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with JavaScript for backend integration development.
• Experience working with SFCC Service Framework.

Nice to have

• Backend for Frontend (BFF) architecture experience.
• Headless commerce/composable architecture implementations.
• OMS integrations (Sterling OMS preferred).
• Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect Certification.
• Composable Commerce experience.
• Fraud prevention integrations (Forter or similar).
• Tax integrations (Vertex or similar).
• Shipping and fulfilment integrations.
• Retail and omnichannel commerce experience.
