API Engineer 1 - Credit (L08)

Overview

Build and support microservice APIs as an API Engineer I on the Credit team. Work across the development lifecycle with cross-functional and cross-shore teams.

What you'll do

• Participate in cross-shore development teams.
• Collaborate to create APIs.
• Participate in Agile scrums.
• Identify ways to increase efficiency and improve system performance.
• Work with current technologies, open-source projects, and programming languages.
• Perform assigned duties and special projects.

What you'll need

• Minimum 1 year of applied Java experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or a High School Diploma/GED with Java application development knowledge.
• At least 1 year of software engineering experience.
• Critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical and technical communication skills.
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence.
• Knowledge of AI tools for developers, AI agents, and instruction markdown files.

Nice to have

• Experience with front-end UI development and backend Java programming.
• Familiarity with SOAP and REST web services.
• Familiarity with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, and Git.
• Familiarity with continuous integration environments.
• Familiarity with unit and integration testing.

• Location: Hyderabad, India.
• Remote work from home or office work is available.
• Work timings are 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST, with flexibility around specified US Eastern Time collaboration hours.
