Overview
Build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, using hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms, with the aim of keeping the infrastructure reliable, scalable, and secure. Provide L2/L3 support for the infrastructure and application stack while driving automation, reliability (SRE), and release excellence across environments.
What you'll do
- Build and deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to measure, identify, address, and resolve potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages, using data to drive down mean time to resolution.
- Develop and implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention, using software scripting and coding disciplines.
- Implement secure configurations and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and other security threats, including protection of hardware, software, and data from unauthorised access.
- Perform infrastructure engineering activities, including IAC, automation, design governance, and troubleshooting.
- Build modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security controls, and release automation.
- Collaborate with Product Owner, Solution Architect, Security, Platform, and QA teams to define infrastructure requirements, devise solutions, and deliver integrated digital solutions.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, risk, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Manage incidents, problems, and changes using ITIL-aligned processes and SLAs (e.g., ServiceNow/Jira).
- Plan and execute OS patching cycles and maintain compliance with security and audit requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive runbooks, knowledge base articles, and support documentation.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and team growth initiatives.
