Overview
Provide application and system engineering support for power solutions used in CPU, GPU and FGPA applications, including customer issue debugging, bench testing, technical solutions and training.
What you'll do
- Debug customer schematics or board issues.
- Duplicate customer issues on the bench test and provide solutions with appropriate test reports.
- Provide technical training.
- Work with design engineers, the field applications team and the marketing team to support products and power solutions for CPU, GPU and FGPA applications.
- Perform hands-on lab bench evaluations, system-level and board-level debugging, and prototype demonstrations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support existing products and drive new product development.
What you'll need
- BE or higher.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in switch mode power supply designs, especially in multi-phase core power design.
- Familiarity with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, electronic loads and function generators.
- Experience in PCB design/layout.
- Fluent communication skills in English.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Self-starter and self-motivated.
- Ability to operate under minimum supervision.
Nice to have
- Prior work experience in high-power/high-current multi-phase products is highly preferred.
- Proven problem-solving capability is highly preferred.
- Experience with simulation tools such as Simplis is preferred.
- Experience with I2C, PMBus, SVID, DVID, SDLE and VR14.x communication protocols.
- Understanding of common power supply architectures and converter control loop operation.
- Ability to evaluate the electronic performance of EVBs and customer boards on the bench.
- Demonstrated leadership in customer-facing technical support roles.
