Application Engineer | Display & Electronics Product Platform

Overview

Application Engineer for 3M’s Display & Electronics Product Platform, working across R&D and customer-focused application development.

What you'll do

• Develop and replicate applications for consumer and industrial electronics with global teams.
• Identify the best 3M solution by understanding customer needs and using testing/trial results.
• Communicate outcomes to customers and global teams via reports and presentations.
• Support launch of new product programs with documentation, demonstration tools, videos, and training materials.
• Specify 3M products at OEMs/Tiers on engineering drawings and support transition to manufacturing locations.
• Provide technical training and support for proper use of 3M solutions.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering with Materials science/Electronics/Physics/Chemistry as major subject.
• Minimum around 5 years of work experience in R&D, product development, and/or applications engineering.
• Preferably customer-facing experience in the electronics segment.
• Knowledge of tapes, adhesives, conductive materials, TIM, and converting processes like die-cutting and slitting.
• Ability to engage OEM and Tier-1 engineering teams and support the design-win cycle.
• Proficiency in product evaluations, performance testing, and failure-mode analysis.
