Overview
Application Engineer role focused on designing and building scalable, production-grade data software infrastructure and analytics platforms for private markets data products.
What you'll do
- Architect and build scalable, reliable data pipelines and platforms for data products.
- Own data solutions end-to-end from technical design through implementation, deployment, and production support.
- Design data workflows that are reproducible, testable, and scientifically rigorous with validation and monitoring.
- Build infrastructure to enable advanced analytics and AI/ML use cases, including experimentation and production deployment.
- Lead architectural decisions and influence technical prioritisation with product and delivery teams.
- Act as a technical authority on engineering standards, data management/governance, and cloud-native development.
What you'll need
- Proven experience building and operating scalable software systems for data processing workflows and platforms.
- Deep expertise in Python and SQL across databases such as Snowflake and Postgres.
- Hands-on experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, automated testing, and containerisation/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS or Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
- Ability to design production-grade systems balancing performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Experience enabling or supporting advanced analytics and AI/ML in production environments.
- Strong communication skills to translate complex technical concepts for stakeholders.

- Hybrid work model: at least 4 days in the office per week, with flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
