Application Security Engineer - Assistant Vice President

Overview

Lead application security and DevSecOps strategy, implementation, and process improvement across application teams. Support secure software development, CI/CD security automation, tooling operations, reporting, and audit activities.

What you'll do

• Build and improve the DevSecOps and application security strategy.
• Partner with engineering teams to operationalize DevSecOps and AppSec processes.
• Onboard application teams to security tools and troubleshoot integrations with vendors.
• Triage security scanning for GenAI models and support vulnerability remediation.
• Deliver security dashboards, metrics, and reporting.
• Maintain application security and DevSecOps documentation.
• Support audits and deliver project tasks through completion.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• 12–15 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with software development and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, and container security scanning.
• Experience with Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud technologies.
• Strong communication, prioritization, and multi-project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles and hybrid cloud automation.
• CISSP, Security+, or another cybersecurity certification.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum practices.

• Hybrid schedule with four days per week from the base office.
