Application Security Engineer II - Contract ( 6 months )

Overview

Application Security Engineer II (Contract) responsible for triaging and validating incoming vulnerability submissions for Bugcrowd-managed bug bounty programs.

What you'll do

• Curate incoming security vulnerability submission data for validity, accuracy, and severity.
• Communicate with Bugcrowd’s clients or researchers when additional information is needed.
• Provide ongoing triage and validation services for Bugcrowd managed programs.
• Escalate and communicate incident response for the highest severity bugs to clients.
• Support the triage/validation process through tooling where needed.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree or previous security consulting experience.
• Published and demonstrated passion for security assessment research.
• High proficiency with Burp Suite (or another interception proxy).
• Working experience with other industry standard tools such as nmap and sqlmap (or tools included in Kali Linux).
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities.
• Ability to execute on individual projects while contributing to the team.
