Application Support Engineer

Overview

Provide advanced administration and operational support for Amazon Dynamo graph database environments in AWS. The role focuses on reliability, performance, security, backup, recovery, and incident resolution.

What you'll do

• Administer Amazon Dynamo clusters and instances.
• Configure scaling, replication, and failover.
• Provision, upgrade, patch, and manage database lifecycles.
• Optimize query performance and database capacity.
• Monitor environments, troubleshoot incidents, and support root cause analysis.
• Manage backups, restores, disaster recovery testing, and runbooks.
• Implement IAM access controls and AWS KMS encryption.

What you'll need

• At least 3 years of experience in database management.
• Proficiency in database management.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures.
• Familiarity with database security and access control.
• Understanding of replication and high availability configurations.
• 15 years of full-time education.
