Application Support Engineer

Overview

Act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application, resolving incidents, problems and change requests across AWS cloud infrastructure in a production support environment.

What you'll do

• Act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application.
• Accurately define client issues and interpret and design resolutions based on deep product knowledge.
• Manage, monitor, troubleshoot and optimize AWS services including EC2, S3, ELB (ALB/NLB), Route53, VPC, AWS Backup, EKS, ELK/Kibana, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation and AWS Organizations.
• Implement Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation.
• Maintain cloud platform availability and support incident, problem and change management activities.
• Create and manage Requests for Change effectively.
• Collaborate with vendors, architecture, security and application teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Ensure adherence to security and governance standards.

What you'll need

• 15 years full time education.
• Overall 8+ years of experience working in IT.
• At least 3 to 5 years as an AWS Cloud SME.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure.
• Must have skill: AWS Cloud SME.
• Proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of cloud service models and deployment architectures.
• Experience with incident and problem management processes in cloud environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience working in production support environments.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and container platforms.

Nice to have

• Azure Cloud (good to have skill).
