Application Support Engineer

Overview

Application Support Engineer responsible for investigating and resolving issues across components of critical business systems.

What you'll do

• Investigate and resolve application and system issues across multiple components.
• Monitor systems continuously and troubleshoot anomalies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize and address system issues promptly.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and contribute to key technical decisions.
• Mentor junior team members and support their problem-solving growth.
• Document incidents and resolutions for knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of experience with IBM System i (AS/400) RPG IV.
• Proficiency in IBM System i (AS/400) RPG IV.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex application issues on IBM System i.
• Strong knowledge of system integration and batch processing within IBM System i environments.
• Ability to analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify root causes.
• Familiarity with change management and version control for software support.
• Excellent problem-solving skills focused on maintaining high system availability.
