AR Analyst

Overview

Analyze the status of claims for outstanding balances on patient accounts, take appropriate actions, manage A/R accounts through accurate and timely follow-up, and ensure client deliverables meet quality standards.

What you'll do

• Review AR claims, understand denial reasons, resolve issues, and take claims to closure.
• Analyze accounts allocated in the AR Tool and take appropriate actions.
• Research and interpret available data in billing software, EOB, MR, and authorization to understand reasons for denial, underpayment, or no response.
• Check claim status through third-party web portals and insurance websites.
• Take corrective actions, including resubmitting claims and transferring them to the correct payer.
• Understand client requirements and project specifications.
• Collect payments due to AR efforts.

What you'll need

• Any degree.
• A brief understanding of the entire Medical Billing Cycle.
• Minimum 3 Year’ work experience as an AR analyst in the Revenue Cycle Management Process.
• Knowledge of Denials management and A/R fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of healthcare terminology and ICD/CPT codes will be considered a plus.
• Use of medical billing software will be considered an advantage.
