ARC Support Engineer - L2

Overview

ARC Support Engineer - L2 is an onsite, individual-contributor networking support role focused on troubleshooting customer issues and driving them to resolution.

What you'll do

• Lead and drive troubleshooting on customer reported issues.
• Isolate product issues at hardware/software level and replicate customer environments in a lab.
• Own and document communication among customers, engineering, and provide the final fix.
• Act as a customer advocate for timely resolution and understand the environment/network impact on business.
• Partner with other services teams in customer reviews, network trainings, and resolution of critical issues.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance during testing, deployment, and operational phases.

What you'll need

• Requires a B.E. in Electronics/Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the networking industry.
• Excellent customer handling and communication (verbal and written).
• Thorough understanding of Layer 3 IP technologies including TCP, GRE, QoS, and VRRP.
• Thorough understanding of IP routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and ISIS.
• Thorough understanding of Layer 2 technologies including VLAN (802.1Q) and STP/RSTP.

Details

• Onsite role with primary work from an HPE office.
• Weekend coverage as per roster and pager rotation coverage.
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnātaka, India.
