Assistant Engineering Manager

Overview

Support engineering and facilities operations for a client site, including M&E maintenance, contracts, procurement, reporting and service delivery. The role assists the Engineering Manager and independently handles engineering-related shifts.

What you'll do

• Manage preventive and pre-emptive maintenance programs for M&E installations.
• Support Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and civil maintenance activities.
• Manage downtime, breakdowns and ad-hoc M&E setups.
• Coordinate contractors, direct staff and vendor teams.
• Maintain logbooks, checklists, PPM schedules and critical spares inventories.
• Prepare maintenance, inventory, purchasing, downtime and incident reports.
• Support contract, procurement and facility management activities.

What you'll need

• 5–7 years of experience in engineering management.
• Graduate degree in any discipline.
• Tertiary qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Ability to achieve SLA and KPI targets.
• Ability to coordinate teams for efficient service delivery.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
