Assistant Manager/Senior Engineer -Front Line Manager, NHA Assembly – JaP/MFH-M1

Overview

Assistant Manager/Senior Engineer role to supervise shift operations in NHA Assembly and manage shop-floor associates. You will drive production continuity, safety/quality conformance, performance KPIs, and continuous improvement activities.

What you'll do

• Organize production setup per production schedule and assign tasks to associates.
• Conduct and document daily checks/LPC to ensure safety and quality conformance.
• Track production performance KPIs (e.g., OEE, FPY, scrap, tool life) and manage deviations with corrective actions.
• Lead daily meetings to communicate SQCD topics with associates, CFT members, managers, and vendors.
• Engage with associates on concerns/grievances and address or escalate topics appropriately.
• Drive continuous improvement (Kaizens/suggestions on SQCD) and implement change initiatives, including digitalization projects.
• Train and coach new and existing associates; monitor and improve skill levels.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical/EEE/ECE/Industrial production).
• 1-4 years in auto component/auto ancillary manufacturing industry, preferably assembly process.
• 1-4 years of experience managing unionized/non-unionized/temporary workforce.
• Advanced communication, conflict management, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient skills in Assembly MAE controls, testing benches, and special process setting instruments/tools.
• Experience handling vision systems and scanners.
• Advanced IT tools skills: SAP, MES, MAS, and MS Office.
