Assistant Manager, Technical Services - Footwear

Overview

Assistant Manager, Technical Services - Footwear is a technical resource for Huntsman’s Polyurethane business in the ISC region, focused on footwear and elastomer applications.

What you'll do

• Provide on-site technical support to PU footwear manufacturers across India.
• Troubleshoot PU processing and production issues, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate technical resolution for customer complaints with internal quality/R&D teams.
• Conduct plant trials, monitor trial performance, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Support development of new PU footwear applications and run customer trials for new PU systems/formulations.
• Plan and execute key account management activities and technical development plans for key customers.
• Ensure HSE policy adherence during site-based activities and customer trials.

What you'll need

• Graduate in Chemistry, Polymers, or other Engineering fields.
• Negotiation, networking, and influencing skills to seek internal support and convince customers.
• Project Management and strategic thinking, including KAM experience.
• Minimum 7-10 years of work experience, preferably with at least 5 years of specific PU process experience.
• Willingness to travel more than 60% of the time across South India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
• Fluency in Hindi and English.
• Proficiency in Malayalam is stated as an added advantage.
