Overview
Assistant Manager, Technical Services - Footwear is a technical resource for Huntsman’s Polyurethane business in the ISC region, focused on footwear and elastomer applications.
What you'll do
- Provide on-site technical support to PU footwear manufacturers across India.
- Troubleshoot PU processing and production issues, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate technical resolution for customer complaints with internal quality/R&D teams.
- Conduct plant trials, monitor trial performance, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Support development of new PU footwear applications and run customer trials for new PU systems/formulations.
- Plan and execute key account management activities and technical development plans for key customers.
- Ensure HSE policy adherence during site-based activities and customer trials.
What you'll need
- Graduate in Chemistry, Polymers, or other Engineering fields.
- Negotiation, networking, and influencing skills to seek internal support and convince customers.
- Project Management and strategic thinking, including KAM experience.
- Minimum 7-10 years of work experience, preferably with at least 5 years of specific PU process experience.
- Willingness to travel more than 60% of the time across South India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
- Fluency in Hindi and English.
- Proficiency in Malayalam is stated as an added advantage.
