Assistant Vice President - Database Engineer

Overview

Intermediate engineering analyst role responsible for engineering activities covering design, acquisition, and development of hardware, software, and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team.

What you'll do

• Contribute to budgetary requirement definition for an assigned product area.
• Develop functional specifications and create project plans and software release schedules.
• Partner with business and development teams to identify engineering requirements and define application/system requirements and processes.
• Communicate requirements and tasks from technology departments and/or end users to stakeholders.
• Provide solutions and processes aligned with audit initiatives and requirements.
• Assess risk in business decisions, including compliance and escalation/management of control issues.
• Assist with training activities and mentor junior team members.

What you'll need

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role.
• Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment.
• Project Management experience.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, and benchmarking activities/reporting.
• SQL Server L3 Prod Support DBA experience (8+ years) including shift hours to cover EMEA applications/time zone support.
• SQL scripting experience/automation and ability to work in a matrix environment with virtual teams.
