Assistant Vice President - Real Assets Fund Accounting

Overview

Assistant Vice President - Real Assets Fund Accounting responsible for client service, fund accounting and reporting, controls, system optimization, and leading a team focused on accurate investor reporting.

What you'll do

• Act as key contact for LPs, GPs, and Investor Relations for complex queries and bespoke reporting requests.
• Provide proactive updates on capital calls, distributions, valuations, and fund performance.
• Coordinate with Deal Teams, Legal, Compliance, Tax, and external auditors/administrators for timely information flow.
• Oversee quarterly and annual financial statements under US GAAP/IFRS, including partner capital accounts and waterfall allocations.
• Lead audit coordination by managing deliverables, timelines, and issue resolution with external auditors.
• Maintain internal controls, reconciliations, and exception management for audit readiness.
• Manage and mentor a team of analysts and senior analysts.

What you'll need

• 10+ years in private equity fund accounting or alternatives with strong client-facing experience.
• US GAAP/IFRS expertise, including waterfall mechanics, carried interest, and investor economics.
• Familiarity with PE accounting platforms: Investran, eFront, and Allvue.
• Bachelor’s or master’s in accounting/finance.
• CPA/ACA preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
