Associate - Budget Analyst

Overview

Associate - Budget Analyst supporting operational and administrative activities, including budget maintenance, grant/contract tracking, and event and team support.

What you'll do

• Update and maintain project budgets using TM1 and support budgeting/forecasting to minimize variance.
• Coordinate with accounting, payments, HR, and program teams for financial updates and completion of timesheets and expense reporting.
• Maintain compliance with complex grant and contract terms and conditions.
• Process agreement and contract documentation, monitor performance against contract requirements, and maintain support reports.
• Process invoices and payments for partners in line with WRI India policies and guide partners/consultants on funder compliance.
• Coordinate logistics for domestic and international workshops, and support travel and visa needs for the team.
• Coordinate team meetings and annual planning, manage new hire staffing information, and assist recruitment/onboarding.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting).
• Two+ years of relevant full-time work experience in financial management, budgeting, administration, or nonprofit operations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Strong process orientation with sensitivity to quality and timelines for grant compliance and monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to work in a team.
• High comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), web-based communications (Skype, Zoom), and Salesforce CRM.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
