Overview
The Financial Analyst supports operational project teams financially throughout the clinical trial project lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Support project teams in financial activities for running a clinical trial.
- Prepare the monthly invoicing worksheet used for client invoicing and revenue recognition.
- Perform variance analysis comparing forecasted revenue to actual revenue.
- Review work orders and change order budgets against actual activities to identify out-of-scope items.
- Support monthly project review meetings as needed.
- Assist contract document preparation with the Operational Finance Manager and Vice President.
- Support financial reporting and general ledger functions with the Company Accountant.
- Support accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close reporting.
- Respond to CFO and Vice President inquiries on financial results and ad hoc project analyses.
- Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and features to enhance workflow and internal controls.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field, or equivalent accounting experience.
- Minimum two years of general ledger and financial reporting experience.
- Working knowledge of the accounting cycle areas.
- Experience with project budgets and financial project management support.
- Experience including Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and contract review.
- Fluency in English (and local language for non-English-speaking countries where position is based).
- Strong Excel/PC skills suitable for a multi-tasking environment.
- Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
