Financial Analyst - Accounting

Overview

As a Financial Analyst in the Tax & Accounting - Financial Reporting department, you will support the Finance Senior Manager with operational business process optimization and daily accounting tasks related to invoicing and billing.

What you'll do

• Calculate sales compensation commissions and invoicing.
• Analyze accounts and specialized reports, investigate discrepancies, validate calculations against compensation plan rules, and provide decision-making insights.
• Carry out monthly accruals and reconciliations.
• Participate in process improvement projects and ensure effective accounting operations and compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations.
• Prepare and generate reports and presentations for ad hoc internal reviews.
• Maintain and manage dashboards and MI, wrangle and retrieve large data sets for consolidation, and illuminate standard reporting metrics within custom dashboards.
• Assist the Senior Manager in collaborating with key stakeholders and developing standardized team processes to define how the team works.

What you'll need

• Analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication and consultation skills in English.
• Experience in sales compensation.
• 4-5 years of experience in accounting.
• Familiarity with accounting standards.
• A degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Change Management experience.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including modeling, advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Ability to work independently; be rigorous, organized, and disciplined.
• Ability to excel in a team environment and collaborate and liaise with geographically distributed teams.
• Self-starter with a can-do attitude, a service mindset, and a proactive approach to responding to requests.
• Professional, detail-oriented, and organized, with outstanding follow-up abilities.
• Enthusiastic, with a strong desire to succeed.

Nice to have

• Hands-on proficiency in one or more business intelligence, visualization, and advanced analytics tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake, or other similar systems.
• Experience in the EU/global payments industry.
