Associate Buyer- Projects

Overview

Associate Buyer- Projects is an individual contributor role in Mumbai focused on leading the Order to Pay phase of large, time-sensitive engineering projects within Project Execution.

What you'll do

• Independently lead the Order to Pay phase for assigned engineering projects.
• Run the Order to Pay process with minimal supervision.
• Work with engineering and logistics teams to find optimal supply chain setup for the project.
• Execute projects for retrofit and upgrades on existing vessels.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships to drive results.
• Analyze and interpret project plans to assess risks and drive optimization and continuous improvement.
• Drive supplier performance and resolve conflicts constructively.

What you'll need

• Proven track record of planning and executing projects in an international matrix organization.
• Strong commercial mindset focused on cost-effective solutions.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritize under ambitious timelines.
• Educational background in relevant Engineering and/or a Masters in Supply Chain or Operations Management.
• Excellent communication in English (writing and speaking).
• Ability to take ownership, work independently in a structured manner, and achieve results.
• Ability to handle risk and uncertainty and adapt when priorities change.
