Associate Engineer - Engineering Change Mgmt

Overview

Support engineering change management for new product introduction and engineering change orders in a manufacturing setup in Chennai.

What you'll do

• Create part numbers for BOM in Agile and Baan.
• Create AVL in Agile and Baan system.
• Download customer documents such as product specifications and release them in CDC.
• Work as a change analyst during NPI for new changes.
• Release part lists to production for new models and after implementation of ECOs.
• Study ECOs and drawings closely and coordinate with site process and product engineering teams.
• Work closely with engineering and materials teams to review product updates and modifications.
• Respond to business partners (requestors) and customers on queries relating to engineering change orders.
• Ensure adherence to targets set for all process metrics.
• Lead and people-manage team members with coaching and mentoring.

What you'll need

• Diploma or B.Sc (EEE/ECE) graduate.
• 0-2 years of experience as an NPI/ECO engineer in manufacturing setup.
• Knowledge of electronic components with schematic symbols.
• Knowledge of electronics processes/methods, electronics machines and types of electronic components.
• Analytical and logical reasoning and e-mail writing.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/design software and PCB basics; problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook.
• Good analytical skills.
• Coaching and mentoring skills; conflict resolution.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (mandatory).

Nice to have

• Experience in the EMS industry.
• Basic PowerPoint skills and knowledge of Excel VBA.
• Basic concepts of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
