Associate Engineer

Overview

Support product stewardship and regulatory compliance assessments for new and current Aerospace products within Eaton's Center for Sustainability.

What you'll do

• Drive product compliance assessments for new and current products.
• Support project implementation for product regulatory compliance with regulations such as REACH, AD-DSL, ELV, RoHS, CP-65, POP and upcoming regulations across Eaton's Aero product portfolio.
• Support Aerospace business in local product development and provide engineering services to the global engineering team in product stewardship.
• Study customer requirements on product compliance and implement them into applicable projects.
• Work closely with India and global cross-functional teams (project engineering, Quality, Plant Manufacturing, Supply chain, Sales, etc.).
• Monitor progress and achievements on projects and provide regular reports on development and support activities.
• Study upcoming regulatory requirements and communicate findings to the team.
• Support continuous process improvement methods and adopt digital/automation tools to gain process efficiency.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree (with 0 to 1 year of experience) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Chemical, Mechanical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Curiosity and inquisitiveness in product stewardship in relevant industrial, vehicle product or process industries.
• Strong understanding of basic engineering, science and arithmetic concepts: material, weight, volume, density, mass, units and measurement methods.
• Theoretical understanding of Product Stewardship and regulations such as AD-DSL, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS and Prop65, and basic interpretation of other applicable regulations.
• Energetic and willing to collaborate with local and global suppliers on compliance data related activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts effectively.
