Associate Engineer-Mechanical Design (Hybrid)

Overview

Support mechanical design and electrical routing activities for aerospace or other complex engineered products. Create manufacturable, standards-compliant designs and engineering data across the product lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Create and modify 3D models in Siemens NX for sheet metal, machined, plastic, and assembly components.
• Support electrical routing and LRU packaging activities, including harness routing and electrical integration.
• Develop and maintain Engineering Bills of Materials across component, sub-assembly, and top levels.
• Prepare and support Engineering Change Notice and Engineering Change Request documentation.
• Use Teamcenter, JIRA, and enterprise systems for data management and task tracking.
• Apply engineering, manufacturing, OEM, and organizational quality standards.
• Support hardware selection and basic hardware management activities.

What you'll need

• 1–3 years of experience in CAD engineering and mechanical design.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.
• Working knowledge of Siemens NX, including 3D modeling, assembly modeling, machined, and sheet metal modules.
• Experience designing sheet metal, plastic, and machined components.
• Understanding of machining, sheet metal fabrication, vacuum forming, and injection molding.
• Working knowledge of Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
• Familiarity with engineering and drafting standards and strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the aerospace, automotive, or similar industry.
• Knowledge of electrical connectors, wiring harnesses, and routing practices.
• Experience with LRU packaging, EBOM release activities, or the NX Electrical Routing module.
