Engineer I/ II Product Development

Overview

Engineer I/II – Product Development (Advanced Technology) in Pune, supporting advanced technology and new product development for next-generation HVAC/R and compressor technologies.

What you'll do

• Support advanced technology and NPD projects from concept development through design execution, prototype support, and technical documentation.
• Develop 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using CAD tools such as NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.
• Perform engineering calculations and design analysis for component and system-level development.
• Conduct FEA simulations for structural analysis and run GT multi-physics simulations for performance and optimization.
• Correlate simulation results with test data and support design improvements.
• Handle project engineering activities such as schedule tracking, action item follow-up, risk identification, and milestone reporting.
• Participate in design reviews, technical risk reviews, TRL reviews, and product development gate reviews.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3+ years of experience in design engineering, product development, simulation, or related roles.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as NX, Creo, or SolidWorks (or equivalent).
• Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran, or HyperWorks (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles including heat transfer, fluid mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and analyze test/simulation data for technical problem-solving.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and project coordination skills for working with global teams.
