What you'll do
- Support day-to-day design and engineering activities for assigned programs within the engineering organization.
- Create and modify 3D models in Siemens NX (UG) for sheet metal, machined, plastic and assembly components.
- Apply best design practices for machined parts, sheet metal parts and thermoplastic components.
- Contribute to electrical routing design and/or LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) packaging, as applicable to design scope.
- Use the NX Electrical Routing module to support harness routing and electrical integration activities.
- Develop and maintain Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) at component, sub-assembly and top-level, ensuring accuracy and compliance with release processes.
- Prepare and support ECN/ECR (Engineering Change Notices/Requests) documentation.
- Use Teamcenter (TcE), JIRA and other enterprise systems for data management, task tracking and collaboration.
- Support end-to-end program execution in a virtual, cross-functional engineering environment.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, manufacturing process requirements, OEM guidelines and organizational quality processes.
- Participate in hardware selection and basic hardware management activities.
- Apply exposure to material selection.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in CAD engineering and mechanical design.
- Strong working knowledge of Siemens NX (UG), including 3D modeling, assembly modeling, and machined and sheet metal modules.
- Experience designing sheet metal, plastic and machined components.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, vacuum forming and injection molding.
- Working knowledge of Teamcenter (TcE) or similar PLM systems.
- Familiarity with engineering standards, drafting standards and design best practices.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
