Associate Engineer- Product Stewardship and Sustainability

Overview

Associate Engineer focused on Product Stewardship and Sustainability, supporting product compliance assessments and implementation for regulations across Eaton’s Aero products.

What you'll do

• Drive product compliance assessments for new and current products.
• Provide project implementation support for product regulatory compliance (e.g., REACH, RoHS, ELV, CP-65, POP).
• Support Boyd Thermal business in local product development and engineering services for global product stewardship efforts.
• Study customer requirements for product compliance and implement them into applicable projects.
• Work with cross-functional teams across India and globally (project engineering, Quality, Plant Mfg., Supply chain, Sales).
• Monitor project progress and share regular reports on development and support activities.
• Adopt digital/automation tools to improve processes and efficiency.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability/Environmental science/Chemical/Mechanical/Electronics or Electricals engineering.
• 0–1 year of experience.
• Strong basics of engineering/science/arithmetic concepts including material, weight, volume, density, mass, units, and measurement methods.
• Theoretical understanding of product stewardship and regulations including REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS, and Prop65.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts verbally and in writing.
• Energy and willingness to learn and collaborate with local/global suppliers for compliance data.

Nice to have

• Automation and continuous improvement skills, including dashboards and digital skills (highly desirable).
