Associate Engineer SCM - Supplier Quality & Supplier Development

Overview

Associate Engineer responsible for supplier quality, supplier development, defect investigation, corrective actions, and supplier performance improvement.

What you'll do

• Evaluate and close supplier 8D reports, PPAPs, and defective material reports.
• Identify gaps in supplier documents and quality systems.
• Investigate supplier technical and process issues and drive corrective actions.
• Train suppliers on Eaton 8D requirements and supplier quality systems.
• Use statistical and analytical tools to improve supplier performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal engineering, plant, and operations teams.
• Monitor and communicate performance of key suppliers.

What you'll need

• 6–8 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, supplier development, or supplier quality.
• BE in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Experience working with global customers and suppliers.
• Knowledge of problem-solving tools, APQP, PPAP, Core Tools, GD&T, and AIAG.
• Working knowledge of SPC, Gauge R&R, and capability analysis.
• Effective communication, influencing, collaboration, and escalation-management skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of precision machining, casting, forging, or molding processes.
