Associate Engineer Software Application Engineer - AB Suite

Overview

Associate Engineer responsible for developing, testing, supporting, and maintaining AB Suite enterprise applications, with guidance from senior team members.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, debug, test, and implement AB Suite applications.
• Develop application components including Ispecs, Reports, Classes, Methods, and Services.
• Fix and enhance existing business applications.
• Support L2/L3 application maintenance and resolve issues within service levels.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and identify root causes.
• Support deployments, implementations, validation, and application performance monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, knowledge sharing, and process improvement.

What you'll need

• BA/BS degree and 0–2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0–3 years of experience in application development, support, testing, or maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle concepts and programming principles.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, DMSII, or other relational databases.
• Willingness to learn enterprise application technologies.
• Knowledge of AB Suite, EAE, AB Suite development, debugging, testing, and deployment.

Nice to have

• Exposure to object-oriented programming concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of ClearPath MCP, MARC, CANDE, WFL, COMS, Microsoft Visual Studio, or version control systems.
