Associate Finance

Overview

Associate Finance role at Amgen focused on creating and managing Purchase Orders in SAP Ariba and supporting the procure-to-pay process.

What you'll do

• Create, issue and manage R&D or project-related Purchase Orders (POs) within SAP Ariba and SAP ECC/S4 HANA systems.
• Facilitate new vendor inclusion, resolve PO exceptions (specs, shipment issues), and update payment terms per the scope of work.
• Process Ariba invoices.
• Input SAP data from invoices.
• Interpret Statements of Work to derive WBS alignment.

What you'll need

• 2-6 years in procurement operations, vendor management, or project coordination roles.
• Basic financial knowledge of Capital, Expense, and Deferred Expense.

Nice to have

• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing (if relevant).
• Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba (Downstream Buying and Invoicing) and SAP ERP systems.
• Familiarity with purchasing processes, vendor management, and supply chain logistics.
• Analytical and detail-oriented.
• Strategic thinking.
