Overview
The Operations Finance Associate supports the Operations Finance team with planning, analysis, reporting, and business partnering.
What you'll do
- Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for Operations Finance.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports with variance and trend analysis and performance commentary.
- Partner with Operations stakeholders to understand business drivers, cost trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage operational finance activities including expense management, cost center analysis, headcount tracking, and capital planning.
- Analyze actuals vs budget/forecast/prior periods and provide actionable insights on key variances.
- Support management presentations, financial summaries, and business review materials.
- Assist month-end and quarter-end close activities such as accruals, journal entry review, reconciliations, and validation.
What you'll need
- Knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and operational performance management.
- Experience supporting financial planning and forecasting activities for Operations Finance.
- Ability to perform variance and trend analysis with business performance commentary.
- Experience with expense management, cost center analysis, headcount tracking, and capital planning.
- Experience reconciling accounts and validating financial results during close activities.
- Understanding of compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and corporate finance requirements.
