Associate Front-End Engineer

Overview

Associate/Senior Associate Front-End Engineer working on the frontlines of a game development team to create compelling game experiences, implementing, debugging, modifying and supporting in-game features, development and operational tools, and participating in game design.

What you'll do

• Implement and maintain client-side code for desktop and mobile games in a thorough and timely manner.
• Work on client/server-based applications using a variety of technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS etc.
• Contribute to the development of new/innovative games and different features in a game.
• Implement, debug, modify and generally support in-game features, development, and operational tools in a timely manner.
• Actively participate in the design of the games.

What you'll need

• 1-3 years of software development experience.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds.
• Experience in data structures (JavaScript or any programming language).
• Basic understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with development tools including IDEs, debuggers, bug tracking.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, CVS, SVN.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming techniques and languages.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React, AngularJS, jQuery, NodeJS etc.
• Hands on experience in other programming languages such as Java, C++, Python etc.
• Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt.
• Distributed application (client/server) development experience.
• Game development experience.
• Experience in UI development and animations.

Details

• Location: Commerzone IT Tech Park, Yerwada, Pune.
• Full-time, 4 days at office (mandatory).
• Participation in at least 1 face-to-face discussion is mandatory.
• Interview stages: First Technical Interview, Second Technical Interview, Director Interview, HR Discussion.
