Associate, Fund Accounting

Overview

Associate in Fund Accounting responsible for overseeing and reconciling the books and records of HPS funds, including NAV and partner capital statement work.

What you'll do

• Reconcile the funds’ books and records with internal teams and external third-party fund administrators.
• Perform monthly and quarterly fund closings with NAV review and reconciliation.
• Prepare and review partners’ capital statements.
• Calculate and review capital call and distribution calculations and notices.
• Review fund expenses for accuracy, including coordination of accruals and payments.
• Calculate and review monthly investor return and NAV estimates.
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of combined experience in a Fund Accounting role and/or public accounting supporting financial services clients.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree (master’s preferred) in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience preferred in Private Credit, Public Credit, Private Equity, or Hedge Funds.
• Big four public accounting experience preferred.
• Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and critical deadlines.

Details

• Reports to a Vice President in the Fund Accounting department.
• Hybrid schedule with 4 days in office per week and 1 day working from home.
• Late shift required (2 PM to 11 PM) on a 4/1 split to support EMEA and US stakeholders.
