Overview
Vice President, Accounting & Reporting to oversee end-to-end accounting and regulatory reporting for real estate alternative investment funds managed via external administrators.
What you'll do
- Oversee financial reporting and accounting processes for alternative funds.
- Review and challenge NAV calculations, fee workings, valuations, allocations, and expense accruals.
- Liaise with external fund administrators and other counterparties to ensure SLA compliance.
- Ensure financial statements and regulatory reporting follow applicable GAAPs and requirements.
- Support board pack delivery and ensure periodic investor deliverables are produced and delivered on time.
- Support annual external audit and handle stakeholder queries related to reporting.
What you'll need
- 10–16 years of experience.
- Deep fund accounting expertise for real estate fund structures.
- Ability to review and challenge NAVs, fee calculations, investor allocations, valuations, and expense accruals.
- Experience preparing/overseeing financial statements under IFRS/HGB/Lux GAAP and regulatory reporting such as AIFMD and related filings.
- Understanding of valuation methodologies for illiquid/alternative investments including fair value assessments.
- Experience managing/reviewing deliverables from external fund administrators and escalating discrepancies.
- Professional qualification: Chartered Accountant/CPA/ACCA or equivalent.
