Associate Manager Software Engineering

Overview

Associate Manager Software Engineering responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting Java-based software and cloud-native solutions for life and annuity insurance operations. Serves as a technical subject matter expert and liaison across technical, business, and management teams.

What you'll do

• Develop and analyze functional specifications with distributed development teams.
• Design, implement, and deploy software for core insurance operations.
• Integrate systems and oversee projects, including upgrades.
• Gather user feedback and troubleshoot system performance issues.
• Provide technical guidance, training, mentoring, and release-lifecycle support.
• Coordinate stakeholders and recommend cost- and time-effective solutions.

What you'll need

• 9 or more years of relevant Java programming, technical, and architectural experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Enterprise application design and development experience using Java and Spring.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AngularJS, React, and responsive web design.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Groovy, Shell scripting, and DevOps concepts.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of the life insurance and annuity domain.
