Associate Principal Software Engineer – AB Suite

Overview

Lead the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of complex Agile Business Suite (AB Suite) enterprise applications. Provide technical leadership across development, client engagement, application quality, and production support initiatives.

What you'll do

• Lead design, development, testing, implementation, and support of AB Suite applications.
• Develop application components including Ispecs, Reports, Classes, Methods, and Services.
• Analyze and resolve complex production issues and support L2/L3 maintenance.
• Review technical designs, code, and solution approaches.
• Collaborate with clients, business analysts, architects, stakeholders, and distributed teams.
• Mentor AB Suite engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.
• Drive quality metrics, root cause analysis, automation, and process improvements.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise application development, support, and maintenance.
• Experience supporting business-critical enterprise applications in production.
• Experience leading development teams, technical workstreams, or major initiatives.
• Experience in customer-facing environments and globally distributed teams.
• Knowledge of AB Suite, EAE, and MCP-based application support.
• Experience with AB Suite development, debugging, testing, and deployment.
• Flexibility to undertake short- or long-term travel if required.

Nice to have

• Experience with ClearPath MCP, MARC, CANDE, WFL, COMS, DMSII, system utilities, or operations.
• Knowledge of version control and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge transition, application onboarding, and production support experience.
• Experience with COBOL, Java, .NET, C#, Mainframe, RPG, or other enterprise technologies.
