Associate – SAP BPC / SAC, SAP, Advisory

Overview

Associate role in PwC's SAP Advisory practice focused on SAP BW and SAP BPC, delivering business intelligence and planning/consolidation solutions that help clients improve operational efficiency and meet strategic objectives.

What you'll do

• Specify, design and develop business and process enhancing BI solutions using preferred business reporting tools and data warehouses (SAP BW, SAP BPC, Oracle DB).
• Support established in-house developed BW / BPC solutions.
• Document existing BW / BPC solutions to assist in migration to various reporting platforms.
• Add value to existing business processes and procedures by improving efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work with business to analyse requirements, design and deliver BW / BPC based solutions.
• Use tools to perform Data Transfer Process, Transformations and BEx Query Designer and Analyser.
• Provide support for data migration projects as and when required.
• Understand business data requirements and translate them into solution framework / architecture.
• Manage, plan, prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
• Ensure effective communication with business and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate the development of code elements and review.
• Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle: design, development, system testing, UAT support, deployment support, post-production support.
• Review and finalise project scope and deliverables with Application Development and Functional Support manager.
• Obtain acceptance for all deliverables from the business.
• Ensure adherence to locally defined standards for all developed BW / BPC solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on the use of tools to perform Data Transfer Process and data profiling.
• Set up SAP BPC environment, configure models and dimensions, and enable integration of master data and hierarchies with transaction systems.
• Configure transformation and conversion files, data manager packages and package links.
• Set up initial ownership structure and define rate input templates.
• Draft currency translation rules (periodical and YTD), elimination and adjustment rules, US elimination rules, carry-forward rules and account-based calculation rules.
• Write logic scripts and collaborate with ABAP team members on functional aspects for BADIs.
• Design EPM reports and input templates from consolidation and planning needs.
• Perform backup procedures.
• Create queries, info areas, aggregation levels, key figures, characteristics, composite providers, variables, reports and input templates using HANA Studio and BEx Query.

What you'll need

• Extensive hands-on experience specifying, designing and developing process enhancing business intelligence solutions using SAP BW, SAP BPC and Oracle DB.
• Skills to include full features of the Data Transfer Process (DTP), Transformations and Data Store Objects (DSO).
• Ability to model and build Info cubes, Info objects, Info sets and Multi Providers.
• Ability to write reports using BEx Query Designer and Analyser.
• Strong technical problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills.
• 2 to 4 years of experience.
• Mandatory skill: SAP BPC / SAC.
• Required skill: SAP Development.
• Degree in Bachelor of Engineering or MBA (Master of Business Administration).
